Summer Art Classes

Schedule/Age Groups:

June 10-14, 2024 (Mon-Fri), 10am-noon OR 1pm-3pm - ages 7-10

June 17-21, 2024 (Mon-Fri), 10am-noon OR 1pm-3pm - ages 11-13

June 24-28, 2024 (Mon-Fri), 10am-noon OR 1pm-3pm - ages 14-17

June 10-14 morning class (ages 7-10) and June 24-28 afternoon class (ages 14-17) are FULL and NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

What’s Included:

  • A wide range of art materials and mediums for experimentation, including paints, clay, collage materials, and more. Children will have the opportunity to explore different artistic styles and techniques.

  • Family Screening/Gallery Night on Saturday, June 29.

What the Class Will Teach:

This class will foster creativity and self-expression as children engage in open-ended art projects. They will learn to think creatively, problem-solve, and express themselves artistically through hands-on exploration.

  • All necessary art supplies will be provided for each class. All you need to bring is an open mind and a good attitude!

  • We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that can get messy, as art-making can be a hands-on, messy experience.

  • Each class is 2 hours long, providing ample instruction, exploration, and creation time.

  • Yes, there will be short breaks incorporated into each class to allow children to rest and recharge.

  • While we understand the desire to stay and observe, we encourage parents to drop off their children and return for pick-up at the end of the class. This allows the children to fully engage in the creative process without distractions.

  • Your children will be guided by Judy Lou Benavente (Bloomfield), an award-winning animator and illustrator. As an award-winning animator and illustrator, Judy is passionate about sharing her expertise and nurturing the artistic talents of the next generation.
